As of December 13, 2005, the school board has refused to share almost any of the budget documents that the Teachers Association of Long Beach (TALB) requested to assist them in their analysis of the district budget (Request for information #1 , #2 , #3 , and #4 ). This violates multiple state laws that make those documents and data public records and the sharing of them a requirement under the laws covering collective bargaining. Nevertheless, TALB has acquired some documents from cooperative district office officials who disagree with the school board ' s illegal tactics. Each document we receive will be digitally scanned and put into the District Budget section that we are creating for this website so the entire community can see what the school board is hiding.”
